27. ... Rxf4?! A daring take, if not reckless. 27. ... Nc5 28. g3 Nb3 appears to be a safer bid for a draw. 28. Rd3?! White first ought to play 28. g3! and after, say, 28. ... Rg4 then 29. Rd3 regaining the Pawn with interest. 28. ... Re4? (28. ... Nc5 29. Rxd6 Rf6=) 29. Kf2? White’s last chance seems to be 29. Rxd6 which should ultimately lead to the gain of a Pawn. Instead, now, the endgame decidedly tends toward a drawn result: 29. ... Nc5 30. Rd1 Kf8 31. Kf3 Re6 32. Nd5 Nb3 33. Nc7 Rf6+ 34. Ke2 Nxa5 35. Nxa6 Nc4 36. b3 Re6+ 37. Kf2 Na5 38. b4 Nc4 39.
