25. ... Rd2? Now, this may even be the wrong way. After 25. ... f5! 26. Ne8 Ng6 27. Nxg7 Ne5 28. Nxe6 Ng4 Black, though temporarily two Pawns behind, seems much closer to a draw. 26. Nxf7 Rd5 27. f4 Rd7 28. Rxd7 Nxd7 29. Ng5 Nc5 30. Kf3 h6 31. Ne4 Nd7 32. g4 Kf7 33. Ng3 Nc5 34. h4 Ke7

35. g5 hxg5? This is very wrong, of course. 36. fxg5! A concrete exception to the principle of taking with a Pawn toward the centre. Black must have felt as though she’d fallen into a nightmare, so she can’t do nothing but hope for an awakening. 36. ... Kf7 37. Ne4 Nd3 38. h5 Ne5+ 39. Kf4 Nd3+ 40. Kg3 Ne5 41. Kf4 Nd3+ 42.
