Finally, after two days and seven rounds of intense fighting, the Women’s Qualifying Tournament for the 19th Asian Games cast the final die as regards the four who will represent China’s women’s team in the 杭州2022 (Hángzhōu 2022) next autumn. 侯逸凡 (Hóu Yìfán), 朱锦尔 (Zhū Jǐn’ěr) (who tied for first with 5½ each, the latter being declared winner on the basis of her higher progressive score), 谭中怡 (Tán Zhōngyí), and 翟墨 (Zhái Mò) (who tied for third and fourth with 3½). Four-time Women’s World Chess Champion 侯逸凡 (Hóu Yìfán) and 朱锦尔 (Zhū Jǐn’ěr) will play in both the team and individual tournament.
