It must have been an amazing experience.
Yeah, that was the account of 侯逸凡 (Hóu Yìfán)'s day in Genoa and was written by the president of the local club. The editor of an Italian chess magazine, on the April 2014 issue, reproduced such account almost verbatim, endorsing its truthfulness, which is quite questionable considering that he was not present. In this latter circumstance, however, I asked and obtained that a major correction was made, and thus the phrase "She was accompanied by her parents (and especially by her omnipresent mother)" was replaced with "From the outside, we can only imagine how many pressures, flatteries and ordeals a Women's World Champion has to face when she moves in public, even if her mother is always at her side to support and advise her."
