Since it seemed like nothing interesting was happening, with everyone only speaking the same platitudes in myriad ways, the Communist Party Secretary of 上海 (Shanghai) had a great idea. He wrote a song overnight and presented it to his delegates the next day. So I cannot conclude this jolly tale better than in the (first) words of the ballad: 「我為您點贊，世界為您喝彩，天下歸心，想在一起，干在一起，滴水乾坤，文明之花共同栽，世界的舞台，中國的聲音…」 (“I praise you, / the world cheers for you, / all world’s hearts / wanna be together, / dry together, / drip from heaven to earth, / plant together flowers of civilization, / on the world stage, / with Chinese melodies...”).
