14th World Chess Champion Vladimir Borisovich Kramnik has been nominated by Agon Limited/FIDE as the “wild card” to enter the Candidates Tournament scheduled in Berlin, Germany from 10 to 28 March 2018. The decision came in advance of the 4th and last stage of Grand Prix 2017 that will take place in Palma de Mallorca, Spain from 16 to 27 November 2017, upon which outcome the names of the last two candidates still depend.
