上海 (Shànghǎi)’s congressional delegation (with five representatives born in the 1980s) seems to reflect better than others the “Chinese dream of rejuvenation of the Chinese nation”. History has placed much of the future of the world in their hands, and much will depend upon their ability to represent the needs of younger generations through the looking glass of the “Socialism with Chinese characteristics”. It will be, undoubtedly, a long and winding road, but, like all things that begin small, there is the challenge of making it happen. For instance, Mrs. 吴娜 (Wú Nà) (pictured below), the youngest 上海 (Shànghǎi)’s delegate, was described by a reporter as “very passionate and burning” in all her conversations, so the question from the “Socialism with European characteristics” perspective is, “Will she succeed in remaining passionate enough without offending anyone?”. Maybe we must trust the opinion of a five-time Olympic gold medal diver, who, not incidentally, is another of 上海 (Shànghǎi)’s youngest delegates: “Mens sana in corpore sano”, is 吴敏霞 (Wú Mǐnxiá)’s key word and her key thought, because “only a healthy mind in a healthy body can temper the hard work of young people”. Maybe, who knows? Lazy people, too, have the right to organise themselves for refounding Socialism.
