Double Gold

China wins both team titles at the 43rd Chess Olympiad in Batumi, Georgia. In particular, credit goes to 17th Women’s World Chess Champion 居文君 (Jū Wénjūn), who, winning a dramatic last round game against Alexandra Konstantinovna Kosteniuk of Russia, succeeded in defending her team’s title from 2016 despite the absence of four-time Women’s World Chess Champion 侯逸凡 (Hóu Yìfán) and 16th Women’s World Chess Champion 谭中怡 (Tán Zhōngyí).
