Long Way Back

After last year’s online-only celebration, the 4th Champions Showdown: Chess 9LX (a.k.a. Fischerandom chess) is back in Saint Louis, where a 10-player round-robin, featuring the world’s top Grandmasters including 13th World Chess Champion Garry Kimovich Kasparov, will be held from September 7–10, 2021. The time control is 20 minutes plus 5 seconds per move, and the prize fund is $150,000. No spectator will be allowed due to local COVID-19 restrictions, but live coverage will be broadcasted on Saint Louis Chess Club’s YouTube Channel. For further details, click here.
