It’s interesting to note that American-Italian Grandmaster Fabiano Caruana, who challenged Magnus Carlsen for the world title in 2018, wasn’t impressed at all by 丁立人 (Dīng Lìrén)’s opening exploits so far, and particularly by his 4. h3 in today’s game, which “feels like a desperate attempt since Black can basically make any 4th move and all are adequate”.
