Speaking in a conversation with a Матч ТВ (Match TV) correspondent, four-time Women’s World Chess Champion 侯逸凡 (Hóu Yìfán) said that the transfer of the Chess Federation of Russia from the European Chess Union to the Asian Chess Federation will definitely strengthen the already thriving Asian continent that includes chess powers such as China, India, and now Kazakhstan. 侯逸凡 (Hóu Yìfán) has characteristically avoided any comment on the political reasons that led Russia to join the Asian family, limiting herself to note that “Of course, in general terms, Russia and Asia are mutually friendly. Naturally, this transition will make Asia much stronger”.
