“At the FIDE Presidential Board we discussed the system of the World Chess Championship”, FIDE President Kirsan Nikolayevich Ilyumzhinov told TASS. “Magnus Carlsen would like to go back to the old knockout system, but the Board has decided that the actual system is the non plus ultra.
