Easy Go

The 2018 World Go Championship will take place at Nihon Ki-in in Tokyo, Japan from 17–19 March 2018. The winner will walk away with 20 million yen ($178,000) in prize money and a Nike award. The participants are as follows: 柯洁 (Kē Jié) (China), Park Junghwan (South Korea), Shin Jin-seo (South Korea), 井山 裕太 (Iyama Yūta) (Japan), 山下敬吾 (Yamashita Keigo) (Japan), and 王元均 (Wáng Yuánjūn) (Taipei).

Ilyumzhinov: London is entitled to host the World Chess Championship match in 2018

Earlier, Japan, South Korea and Singapore also expressed the wish to hold the World Chess Championship match

MOSCOW, May 24, 2017. TASS correspondent: Andrey Fyodorovich Kartashov. London intends to submit a bid for the 2018 World Chess Championship match. Thus stated the President of the Fédération Internationale des Échecs (FIDE) Kirsan Nikolayevich Ilyumzhinov.
In 2016, the World Chess Championship match was held in New York, United States. Magnus Carlsen from Norway confirmed himself as World Champion, winning the crown in the tie-break against Sergey Alexandrovich Karjakin from Russia.
“I just flew to England today, where I met businessmen and lawyers who expressed the wish and availability to assist in holding the World Chess Championship match in London”, Ilyumzhinov said. “So there will be another hosting challenge”.
Earlier, Japan, South Korea and Singapore expressed their wish to hold the match.

Barack Obama has become the first sitting U.S. President to visit Hiroshima, 71 years after the Japanese city became the target of the world’s first atomic bombing and ushered in a nuclear age he has vowed to bring to an end.
In a scene many survivors of the U.S. bombing believed they would never live to see, Obama laid flowers at a memorial to the dead before paying tribute to the people of Hiroshima and calling on humanity to learn the lessons of the past to make war less likely. [Read more].
