The 2018 World Go Championship will take place at Nihon Ki-in in Tokyo, Japan from 17–19 March 2018. The winner will walk away with 20 million yen ($178,000) in prize money and a Nike award. The participants are as follows: 柯洁 (Kē Jié) (China), Park Junghwan (South Korea), Shin Jin-seo (South Korea), 井山 裕太 (Iyama Yūta) (Japan), 山下敬吾 (Yamashita Keigo) (Japan), and 王元均 (Wáng Yuánjūn) (Taipei).
