Interviewed by TASS, FIDE President Arkady Vladimirovich Dvorkovich wanted to reassure the chess public that hopefully the Candidates Tournament will be finished within the year, most likely still in Russia, and always in partnership with “SIMA-LAND”, which means that four-time Women’s World Chess Champion and Rhodes Scholar 侯逸凡 (Hóu Yìfán) (pictured above, right) should soon resume her show career. “The details of the dates and venues will be set out in the near future, as soon as the global situation stabilises”, Dvorkovich said.
